We did our first meetup to improve a pathway in Oakland on Sunday, May 20th, and it was a success. Three days before the meetup I was the only "Yes" RSVP and was ready to cancel the event. However, then 2 others signed up and showed up. Then someone we did not know, but is a close neighbor saw us and joined us in removing the weeds. Queer and Trans Scrabblers - Oakland is a group of living, breathing homo gays who get together once a month to play scrabble at a local cafe. Typically, the group is small but outgoing and anyone who identifies as queer, trans, gay, lesbian, butch, etc is welcome. We bring at least two boards, name tags and the sacred Scrabble dictionary. RSVPing is encouraged so we save enough room for you in the cafe.
